Heavy Weapons Minis

More from my backlog.

Red Army Heavies

These are some minis that I think will go well with the Retropocalypse genre, They'll serve as the Heavy Weapons unit for the Red Army even though they look like they are using Aztec headgear.

What was, and what shall be.

The Leader

Heavy Squad Automatic Weapon

Flame-thrower

Heavy Beam Weapon

Automatic Multi-munition Shot-gun

Group Shot.

Next Up

These next are from my bin of shame.

They are the last of my primered figures identified first in a blog post back in 2013.

They are all mostly HeroClix figures which I'll repaint for my Pulp / Supers genre. I want to paint them up very quick so that I can move beyond them to my backlog of Orcs and Goblins for the Dunjon of Death.

There's 15 figures shown here, but I've got about 25 more elsewhere. Total 40 to paint with "tabletop quality"; I'll slap-dash colors but I'll take time with the faces and hands.

15 of 40 from the backlog bin.

More Cleanup Work

I've got another batch painted, or touched-up.

Quick Jobs

These next four are scattered bits I got from a flea-market dip at Game Kastle in Mountain View.

A British Leader. WWI. This will lead the Ruga-ruga figures.

WWI. British Sharpshooter.

Bran Mac Mourn, the bored berserker.

I tried my best. HeroClix repaint. I made the bow-sword thing bronzed.

Armored Squad

These I also got from the flea-market run. They came somewhat painted initially, and then I washed them in black ink. It was too much, and so I came back with some highlighting using Bolt Gun metal and also Gold.

I use the same green bases, sometimes with flocking, to match my other pieces. Until I actually build a "space-corridors" set, this is fine because most of my terrain is outdoors.

One of 10 Vault Dweller armor for the Retropocalypse genre.

A heavy-weapons Vault Dweller.

Another view of a standard Beam Carbine Vault Dweller.

Vault Dweller Expedition Leader.

All 10 Vault Dwellers.

Next Up

These five figures I don't when I got them, but I think I'll paint them for the Retropocalypse genre to be part of the Red Army.

A "Red Army" super-soldier fire-team.

Reaper Mouslings

Part of my backlog of minis to paint are a set of 10 Reaper Mouslings.  Specifically it is this set of metal figures which is available on Amazon.com; though I purchased it at my LFGS.

If I remember correctly, I purchased them about 2 or 3 years ago and only now have them painted. Well, I had two already painted for my Dunjon of Death game, but now there are ten. =)

There's a few more (10)  Mouslings which I want to acquire; there's a Thief and Assassin, Barbarians (male + female), Vikings (male + female), Ranger + Yeoman, Wizards (male + female). I'll get them in the future after I finish my green-skins.

Bear the Swordsmouse

Albas the White Mouse-lord

Red-cap the Timid

Pierre the Quick

Sad Frank

Guillarmo the Blue

Old Mouse Smokey

Winnifred the Pure

Princess Pink Hair

Mot Van Vinh, the Sorcerer.

A Few Villains

This is another set from my primed pile.

Weird Menace

These are from Pulp Figures by Bob Murch.

The Purple Menace

Bone Face

Dr. Price

Dr. Cushing

The Invisible Strangler

HeroClix Repaints

I had these painted before, but with my new skills I decided to touch them up.

I took extra care to redo the face and the skulls.

I repainted this face and added a green thermal undershirt.

My Masterpiece

I've decided that every so often there's a figurine that I want to spend a lot of time painting.

This particular Egyptian Queen figure I spent about 4 hours using a trimmed brush with three or four fibers. I'm realizing that my old set of paints, which I've reconstituted with water, isn't really that easy to use.

Tiya, Queen of the Damned
